21st Century Gaia

Gaia is our great mother, and representative of the mother in the maiden-mother-crone iconography of this artwork. This piece represents a mother's heartbreak of going through miscarriage and sepsis; without having access to life-saving maternal medical care, Gaia will suffer a certain death.

This artwork touches on the triple goddess iconography, as well as the theory of everything that delves into the idea of a living, sentient Earth.

It touches on the duality of light vs dark, life vs death, order vs chaos.

And last, but certainly not least: Hope.
